In Loving Memory

Ten years have passed since we said goodbye to our beloved Edmund Cleare, on March 25th, 2015. Though time moves on, the warmth of his spirit and the impact of his life remain vividly in our hearts.  Edmund's memory continues to be a source of strength and comfort, a reminder of the love we shared, and he will forever be missed.

Congrats C/O 2025

Democrats are investing millions of dollars in two special elections in Florida, aiming to challenge the Republican control in the U.S. House of Representatives. These elections are in districts that typically lean Republican, making it an uphill battle for the Democratic candidates.

Despite the challenge, Democrats are optimistic, particularly about the 6th Congressional District, where their candidate has significantly out-raised her Republican opponent. Republicans, including Donald Trump, are taking notice and are actively campaigning to maintain their hold on these seats. The outcome of these elections is seen as a significant indicator of the political climate and the potential for Democrats to gain ground in traditionally Republican areas.

Bill Gates predicts that artificial intelligence (AI) will significantly change various professions, potentially replacing doctors, teachers, and other professionals within the next 10 years. He suggests that AI could make expert advice and tutoring widely accessible and even free, addressing the shortage of human professionals in fields like medicine and education. Gates envisions a future with AI-powered medical advisors and digital tutors, offering personalized and high-quality services.

However, Gates also acknowledges the potential challenges and uncertainties that come with this rapid development of AI. This includes concerns about job displacement, the need to ensure the ethical use of AI, and the question of how humans will adapt to a world where AI handles "most things." While he is optimistic about AI's potential to solve complex global issues, he also recognizes the "scary" aspect of its rapid advancement and the need to shape its development responsibly.
